Verified

Green, with a tick.

LeadFindr checked the address at the moment you searched, and the mailbox exists. Verified emails are listed first for each business.

Unverified

Grey. Not proven either way.

An unverified email could not be confirmed. Hover the label to see why. There are three reasons:

  • The company's mail server accepts any address, so no check can prove this one exists. It may still reach them.
  • The mail server did not give a clear answer when it was checked.
  • The address could not be checked at all.

Unverified does not mean wrong. Many small businesses run mail servers that accept everything. Treat these addresses as unconfirmed and decide for yourself whether to send to them.

Shared inbox

A general address, not one person.

A shared inbox is an address like info@ or hello@ rather than one person's email. At a small business the owner often reads it. It shows as a Shared inbox tag next to the Verified or Unverified label, or inside that label's tooltip where space is short, so a shared inbox can be verified too.

Why some emails never show up

Invalid addresses are dropped.

An address that fails the check is removed from the lead before you see it. It does not appear in your results, in Saved Leads or in your CSV. A business with no email left after the check still shows its other details, such as phone, website and social profiles.
